The stay

A quiet stone cottage above the valley

Baromasaa is a hand-built stone cottage on a quiet hillside above the Kotabagh valley in Nainital district, Uttarakhand. Every room looks out over the hills, so the views are part of the stay: mist in the morning and orange sunsets in the evening.

Inside, the cottage combines exposed stone walls, wooden ceilings and hand-laid stone floors with clean modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Outside there are lawns, a fruit orchard, a stone-path garden with a swing, and a covered dining pavilion where meals are served in the open air.

It suits families, couples and groups of friends who want to slow down. Kotabagh is a peaceful alternative to crowded Nainital, and you can still reach Jim Corbett National Park, Kaladhungi, Nainital and Bhimtal easily for day trips.
